Do you want my config files?

I happens both with CUPS-1.1.14 and 1.1.15, with virgin cupsd.conf
config.files and edited ones (printers.conf remained), and on two different
PCs. Also, the "printers" command of ESP PrintPro shows all printers,
so browsing works.

It doesn't happen with KDEPrint from 3.0.1 as released by SuSE....

This is what I see in the CUPS error_log (debug2) while kprinter (new) tries
to connect to the server:

The error_log is quite different and much more verbose, when an old kprinter
tries to connect: a lot of other info is retrieved (as you can verify from
any working installation).
