Hi everybody!

I just got the official message from the LiMux guys at Munich. They are
willing to host us. There is only one "problem". We have to join with
another group (LibreOffice/Debian/Kubuntu) for this sprint. This means some
more coordination effort.

I am planing to close our doodle poll [1] in about two weeks, so we can
discuss with the other groups when to best hold the sprint. Please let me
know if you want to take part but are not yet able to say when you will be
available.

Read the message below for more information. Especially pay attention to
the part about the free food and beverages. I visited the Debian/Kubuntu
BSP last year and it was really delicious. = )

Cheers

M.

Hi everybody (LibreOffice, Debian, KDE PIM, Kubuntu),

I've just got the internal Ok to run two Community events this year, which
means two weekends à 50 persons max. As always food, drinks, beamer, sound
and our meeting rooms will be available; still and unexpected on the 7th
floor in our building in the center of Munich. And as always there is still
no catering - we have to cook.

So I hope you would be interested to join one event.

Since we have four project, we have to combine the people of two projects.
I guess LO doesn't care, not sure if Kubuntu + KDE PIM or Kubuntu + Debian
would be a preference? You all know the room sizes.

The possible weekends range from 10.10. - 12.10., the first WE after the
Octoberfest, to 28.11. - 30.11.

Some "LiMux" people might be at the LinuxCon / Plumbers in Düsseldorf from
13.10. - 17.10., which would rule out the successive weekend (17.10. -
19.10.).

There is just one condition for the WE selection: not two consecutive
weekends; I need to recuperate after the events.

As last time, I'll put an announcement on http://www.it-muenchen-blog.de/,
when the dates are fixed.

Otherwise I'm free for suggestions from your side. Any known big
conferences?

Cheers,

Jan-Marek

P.S.: the KDE PIM people did already run a doodle at http://doodle.com/
