hi list,

with kde 3.4 I changed my account from online imap to disconnected imap. The 
biggest problem I have, is that every check mail takes up to 100% of my cpu 
(actually it's kontact and kio_imap4 which both togeher generates nearly 100% 
cpu load)

This makes some application unusable for a minute (like konqueror - it hangs 
for about a minute) and make the overall experience of my kde session really 
slow.  As I check mail every 3 minutes, this is really bothering me...

I have this problem on two different maschines, running Debian/Sid with latest 
KDE 3.4 packages from alioth. CPUs are AMD Athlon XP 1600+ / 1700+ and both 
maschines have at least 512 MB Ram.

I checked the bug database and found a bug from 2004 which is marked as 
resolved, but I don't feel like it's resolved :(

I would switch back to online imap rigth away if groupware support would work 
with online imap.

Is it just me or is disconnected imap _that_ slow?
