Hi George, [CC to the list for archival purposes]

Now, I'm not a Linux user at all, so some of my suggestions below may not be
entirely correct.

I'm going to presume this is what you get after htting the HotSync button on
the handheld. You can see that the device is getting assigned _two_ device
names: /dev/ttyUSB2 and /dev/ttyUSB3. You could experiment, for instance, by
typing in

	pilot-xfer -p /dev/ttyUSB2 -L

(don't hit enter yet - hit the hotsync button, count three, and then hit
enter). Then you could enter the corresponding device name into KPilot.

You might want to take a look at other responses to your message in the Sync
Problem thread, since there's some information there about hotplug and
configuring it.

OK, this is peculiar, to say the least - I have no idea why kpilot would show
up in your logfile. It suggests that suse has configured something to
automatically prod kpilot in its hotplug system. Ugh.

Now, I have a suse 9.1 install disc here, and so far it's failed to work at
all on either of the machines I've tried it on (via c3/533 and duron/800),
otherwise I could take a stab at it.
