There is a troubleshooting FAQ on the KPilot website; basically, check that 
you can do something with pilot-xfer, and make sure you're using the right 
device name. From you log, it seems that you don't have a /dev/pilot and 
no /dev/pilot is being created by hotplug either. A quick fix for you might 
be to enter /dev/ttyUSB0 in the "device" field in KPilot's configuration 
dialog.

You owe us either a patch for the KNotes conduits bugs, or a patch to the 
german translation, since it's obviously incomplete.
