I don't know if any of you are aware of the following project (the authors 
says on the pages that he contacted the kitchensync people already, but 
probably that was in private mail so we never got any information about 
that):

That's a project (actually Maurus Erni's diploma thesis) to sync the Casio 
Pocket Viewer to a Linux PC, and according to his "Pflichenheft" (i don't 
know the correct english word, but it's some kind of project specification) 
he will use kitchensync for this.

Doing a project like this as a diploma thesis in software engineering is 
certainly a good idea and should be encouraged!
