Sorry to reply that late, but I attended a summer academy the whole week and 
just came back from "vacation".

I suppose, you have korganizer running? Since libkcal (the library that 
manages iCalendar files) is not thread-save, only one program can work with a 
calendar file to avoid file corruption. Thus, for the conduit to work, you 
need to shutdown korganizer before the sync.

There is an error message printed out, but kpilot from beta1 had a bug which 
prevented all error messages from being printed to the log. I have fixed that 
a few weeks ago in the lates cvs code, so beta2 will print this message.
