I would suggest against this. As Cornelius has pointed out, xml is not very 
resource friendly nor is there a standard for pim data in XML. Rumor has it 
that TrollTech may be dropping XML from Qtopia since it is not meeting 
performance requirements. They are looking at switching to a binary 
database type format. XML has the major problem of requiring complete 
parsing when looking for a single field. 

Binary, LDAP or SQL may be a better solution.
