Best shot is CVS HEAD, second best is KPilot 4.2.3 sources from somewhere 
(not the KPilot site, it doesn't carry them), third best is, um, dunno.

One problem with Open Source stuff is that typically old versions are poorly 
supported, if at all.

Yes, it is. The -DDEBUG -DDEBUG_CERR stuff will only work with CVS HEAD, 
though.
