well .. kind of neither =) it's going to be all about making widgets and
dataengines in dynamic (aka "not c++") languages. UI design will obviously be
a part of it, but not the whole thing.

the idea is to make a very small and highly workfow optimized "IDE" for
plasmoid creation and publishing.

a killer feature will be seamless integration with git and online git
repositories, completely replacing "save" and "save as" to disk concepts with
"save points" will be handled behind the scenes as commits. it should also be
easy to browse the online catalog right in the app and say "ooh, i'd like to
start modifying that one" and have it create a git branch immediately and
transparently. "publish" will push it to a remote hosting service, and
.plasmoid files can be automatically generated on that service (zipping up git
checkouts =)

obviously the Package based treeview, live preview of the widget, built in
documentation, etc.. will all be nice as well. ;)

i'm not looking to recreate kate or kdevelop, either. obviously it will use as
many of the kde components available as possible (katepart for editting
scripts, e.g.) and the UI itself *must* be kept simple and streamlined because
it *must* be something someone can open and start working with immediately.

yes, i do plan to look at this at some point.
