Just in case someone searches the kde-multimedia archive for 'maestro'
Above problem occured with latest 0.14 OSS Maestro driver
http://www.zabbo.net/maestro/ that I installed yesterday via
rmmod/insmod. artsplay and artsdsp mpg123 played stuff faster
compared with wavp and mpg123. I've put a
if (speed != _samplingRate) { cerr ... } in audiosubsys.cc open()
but it was not triggered. When I tried to go back to 0.13
via rmmod/insmod I had to had to switch off/on the power of the laptop :(
After the reboot, now with 0.13, the two problems are no longer
present. If the reason is the reboot or the 0.13 driver version
is a lesson left for another person having a problem with the
Maestro 2 driver and arts :) I'm happy with 0.13.
Hope was not too much off topic,
Achim

To me vi is Zen. To use vi is to practice zen. Every command is
a koan. Profound to the user, unintelligible to the uninitiated.
You discover truth everytime you use it.
