Just my two cent: TSE3 (the sequencer engine) is just that, an engine to
write a sequencer.

I think your note editor would be much more useful if it would cooperate
nicely with a sequencer, too, and then the features you ask for (quantize,
record, internal song structure) would be supplied by the sequencer.

So what I want to say is: TSE3 and noteedit will not make too much sense,
if everybody will use Brahms for sequencing/composing, and if Brahms will
not use TSE3, because then you'll have two song representations which will
need to be converted all the time. Also you then have conflicting ways to
quantize, to record and whatever else.

Of course, perhaps Brahms should choose TSE3 as engine? Perhaps there will
be another KDE sequencer? Wasn't the TSE3 author playing with Qt as well?
