I'm working on the changes you suggested right now. The problem is that I'm 
running KDE 3.0 (branch) and I can't test with KDE 3.1, but I'll try to write 
a version with a patch for kmedia2.idl. Hopefully, it will work with KDE 3.1 
as well.
