Some points you missed in the GUI.

- In the equalizer the Enabled checkbox should be top left; above the rest
of the gui displaying this is for the whole of the dialog.
  Yes it takes extra space; but its very unclear now.
- in the effects dialog the names used for the effect have no meaning to most
(99%) of the users; a text explaining what they are would be a huge help.
- in the effects dialog the 'remove effect' icon is a close icon. It should be
the remove icon (the red cross on a piece of paper)
- the window-close icon of (at least) the excellent skin closes the application
  as pointed out before this is not correct and not according to the styleguide, 
yet you choose to change it again. ???
Maybe you don't respect the styleguide ?
