I don't think there's an official stable release on KDE/Mac. It's a bit of a weird \
situation because the distributions (Macports, Fink and now Homebrew) all contain \
patches to be able to build from trunk.
I don't think it would be the end of the world for us if this broke BC. The profiles \
stuff has the potential to make single application deployment easier in the long-term \
for Mac so I think it's worth the current sacrifice.
