I didn't know about that one, but it was handly. But it's not very
intuitive... like, why Alt-F2?

But basically this does not address the problem I described, which is
about starting KDE programs from the shell. This _is_ different, not
only because of shell features such as tab expansion, but since it is
more a integrated part of a different work flow (i.e. working with
files in the current directory, etc).
