FWIW, I have a directory called ~/notes. I have a QuickBrowser on my panel 
that points to this directory. I put frequently accessed files in here. and 
use it as you might use KJots or KNotes. I used to use KJots myself, but the 
QuickBrowser allows me to store any sort of file at all. Plus, you can put 
subdirectories in the QuickBrowser to easily categorize the notes. That makes 
it superior in my view.

Well, properly it would be an HTML editor, wouldn't it? 
As it stands, you can edit the HTML (on my File menu it gives me the option 
to open with OpenOffice or Quanta+). I guess you want to make this easier to 
add to the help browser. Good idea.

I definitely think you should be able to easily add a link to the help 
documentation while browsing it. For instance, I'm looking at the KMail 
manual and want to add a note: I highlight a section of text and click a 
button. This would background copy the kmail docs to a location under my 
~/.kde directory (so I have write access), modifies the viewed doc to link to 
my new note, and brings up an editor so I can add my note. From now on, 
browsing the help info would bring up the KMail manual that's located in 
~/.kde/share/doc... rather than the one in /usr/share/doc...
