I don't personally use KGet, since I like lftp and ncftp a lot more. But if 
you get disconnected, can you still see the download out there in your queue? 
Or is it just gone completely? If you can still see it, you can use the 
transfer-->resume option. Although, I can't vouch for its reliability.
