Tony,

Question 1: type "konsole" on the command line. "konsole --help" for a list
of options.

Question 2: I don't have the "options" edit windows when I look at
properties. Perhaps that omission is a RedHat peculiarity. On the other
hand, I'm running a slightly more recent version of KDE on my machine at
home. I'll have to take a look. For what you want to do, however, I would
use a shell script to invoke the app, keeping the app in the shell's
environment (i.e., don't do an "exec") and wait at a prompt to terminate. I
do that a lot with perl scripts so I don't need the shell, but the concept is
the same.
