Hmm, if I do "nm -a /usr/lib/libc.a | grep __ctype_b_loc" I see that it is
defined there (look for the line that has 'T __ctype_b_loc', ignore the 'U
__ctype_b_loc' as they are undefined references also).

That means it should be part of your local libc; why you would be getting an
undefined reference to it is unclear, unless the libqt-mt is somehow
involved...

It might be installed there, but that doesn't mean the ld cache can find it.
Do you have /usr/local/src/gcc3/qt-x11-free-3.3.3/lib in /etc/ld.so.conf and
then run ldconfig?
