I will try the redhat site. I would love to use the rpms (I suppose you mean 
the ones from kde-redhat.sourceforge.net) if there was a way to install them 
just for one user instead of affecting the changes to the entire system.

they will get you all sorted..

Why not just install the kde rpm's instead of compilling?
