I have tested and found out that in my hardware pc 1,5ghz + 768mb ram
far most slowest loader is win2k pro.
Win 9x series are fast for a while but cause bad memory management they
starts to slow down even less as an hour depends what tasks you do
with it .
Also red lately large benchmark test for different systems on i386
And slowest was
OpenBSD (probably cause security?)
Second slowest was
WinNT-serie kernel
Then came
NetBSD
Third position took
Linux-2.4
First runner up was
FreeBSD 5.x serie
And most fastest in every single task was
Linux-2.6
Everybody who use i386 (pc) hardware get most out of it
with Linux-2.6 and that's fact which can be tested anytime.
