Strange; can't tell you why you're getting the problem though I'm afraid.

I'm guessing you mean 'gstreamer' (http://www.gstreamer.net). I haven't built 
kdemultimedia for a long time, but I'm suprised it requires this, unless it's 
as an optional extra. I guess that's the extra thing you "do" want though :-)
