At what point has someone de-facto given away their copyright? For 
example, I've made some minor contributions to things here and there, 
that I don't want to have to be involved in every little 'can we upgrade 
the license' issue.

Another problem arises when one person does not create an original work, 
i.e. an svn commit consists of someone taking someone else's code from 
one place and adding it elsewhere. The svn log does not correctly 
reflect who owns the copyright on such a change. (I just did that last 
week...)
