It's there, in http://ultra7.unl.edu.ar/krn

Unless there is some kind of fatal bug, it's going to be the last version 
until Magnus's new formatting code is integrated, 

If I don't see anything too wrong, I'll upload it to kde as 0.1.0 in a 
couple of days. I change the middle number, because krn has improved too 
much from 0.0.1 to be called just 0.0.5 :-)

Differences from the august 19 version:

* Quite a bit of bugfixing
* New,more sane, menus
* New "Catchup" function
* You can do actions on the tagged groups
* New options for article display (color)
* Optional undocumented vertical split requested by Bernd Wuebben
* Uses gdbm for article info, *big* speedup.

The last one is important because you need libgdbm to build this. Any 
linux box has it, and if you don't, you can get it in kdesupport.
