Oh ok, great. I'll try it again when I get home, but I'm 100% sure I tried
everything yesterday and I simply couldn't get any text into Krita from
pasting.

Works here, if you use the multiline text shape. In any case, we know the text tool \
sucks, and<br> rewriting it is one of the big topics for next month&#39;s kickstarter \
