Subject: [Kde-Kate] Bug#36322: replace entire word mismatch
From: carsten.schinzer () unamite ! com

Package: kate
Version: 1.0 (using KDE 2.2.1 )
Severity: normal
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
Compiler: Not Specified
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified

Replace dialog allows for a "entire word only" select in order to match entire words \
of the search string only.

However, if I activate this, nothing is found.
Example:
My text contains "seconds" and "microseconds" I'd like to change "seconds" to \
"Sekunden", but not "microseconds". Where I find 20 occurencies without activating \
the "entire word"-tick-box (thus including approx. 5 occurs of "microseconds"), I do \
find zero with the tick box marked.

I.e. the search string has no effect, when this tick box is marked.

Am I really the first person to find this error?? -- Sorry if not!

Greetings, though.

Carsten
