with current KDE (CVS-HEAD).

Maybe this is not a problem of kate but of kwin or something?

1. open kate
2. change virtual desktop
3. open konqueror, select any file and use RMB-Menu to open it with kate. -> the \
virtual desktop where kate is running gets activated and file loaded. Okay so far :-) \
4. Select "Open file" in Kate. Now the file-select dialog opens on the virtual \
desktop with previously opened konqueror, but the virtual desktop where kate is \
running keeps active -> kate "hangs" since you never see the open file dialog. (until \
you switch virtual desktop and detect the open dialog ;)
