OS/Compiler notes: 

When i select small icons (in toolbar) in kate, the preference does not get saved. I \
looked in: ~/.kde/share/apps/kate and in fact there is no file there, despite the \
fact that I have made at least one change (the color used for selected text).

I have to confess that I can't figure out where these settings are being stored. I \
looked in  /usr/share/apps/kate  and have found nothing.

Kate is great, but I just wanted to point this out to help make it better (in case \
nobody else had reported it). BTW, the bug-search is not very good.. htdig might not \
be the way to handle the search....
