I've been working on Tamil translations. I've been having problems with
getting it the desktop.mo file to display correctly.

1. a copied a desktop.po file from WebCVS
2. translated parts of it  
3. ran msgfmt to get the .mo file
4. copied it to the $KDEDIR/share/locale/ta/LC_MESSAGES directory. Then restarted KDE.

But still the Application starter display's only english. 

What I am doing wrong?
