yes, but that should also translate into above average motivation to read the 
readme. Also we've had a similar setup for years, without any trouble (well, 
without any trouble of _that_ kind, at least), if, arguably, at a rather low 
level of participation.

Don't get me wrong. I do anticipate that we will assimilate in this - and 
other regards - over time. It's just that the easy way out (simply removing 
the translations) would cause a regression to what we already have. And the 
clean way looks like more work than it's worth _at this moment_.
