My solution would be to use the transliterated name and between brackets the 
English or original name. So the above example would be:

msgid "Hari Potter"
msgstr "हरि पोट्टर (Hari Potter)"

and

msgid "Chusslove Illich (Часлав Илић)"
msgstr "?????? (Часлав Илић)" or
msgstr "?????? (Chusslove Illich)"
