Hi all,

This is for stable, 4.3 branch only.

I'd like to point you
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=200930
which was solved by adding a string yes or no. You translate this "yes" to
your language "yes" if you want to keep the prefix "square" as in "square
meters".
If, like in French, your language puts the "square" as suffix you need to
translate the "yes" to your language "no" (in French 'non') and to check that
you insert proper spaces so the concatenation is OK.
"square meters" is "mètres au carré" in French, not "carré mètres" so "square"
is not prefix. "cubic meters" is "mètres cube" in French.

I hope I make sense, it's not easy to explain.

My libconversion.po file

#. i18n: Fix for 4.3.0 Translate this to "yes" if you want square and cubic
#. as prefix e.g. "square meter". "no" if you want suffix e.g. "mètre au carré"
#: unitcategory.cpp:109
#| msgid "yens"
msgid "yes"
msgstr "non"

#: unitcategory.cpp:114
msgid "square "
msgstr " au carré"

#: unitcategory.cpp:118
msgid "cubic "
msgstr " cube"

Note that in the msgid the space is on the end of "square " and "cubic " while
in French the space is at the beginning as the prefix becomes suffix.

Hope this helps, best regards and carry on the good work until the 4.3
release!

Anne-Marie

PS: in trunk there is no such hack
