It's not just French, a space should definitely be there. In LaTeX, you
normally use "\,", which gives the recommended 3/8 unbreakable spacing.
However, in plain text I would definitely use a full space rather than no
space.
Does "%1 s" make the compiler/scripty/the translators freak out, or is it
an option? Does work anyway in GUI files?
