I did that many times, and found it only when using the program.
I found hundreds of similar examples in our language.
I don't think other languages are so different.

I already do this in the manpages I translate. Nobody said it was ridiculous.

You agree translations get good when using the program.
I don't know in your language, but in ours, it is not too difficult to find 
translators, but very difficult to get bugreports from users.
