Well, if the string isn't found in a language the original string of the 
program is used, as written by the programmer. If the i18n-function gets 
changed to look in an other, and an other, and maybe a third language file, 
the above statement is not true. 

Every text you see goes through that function, so I can image that extending 
the function will result in a slower KDE for everyone. And that would harm 
everyone.
