Hi All,

I came across the new calendar entries in kdelibs. They are part of the
kdecore/kcalendarsystem***.cpp.

However I fail to understand the concept fully. Are we supposed to be able
to run a specific calendar in another language than actually connected to
it? For example the Iranian calendar in English? But even then why do we
need to translate all the week days several times. Wouldn't it be wiser to
have variables? Week days are just week days unlike the month names and
the calendar itself.
Now we have the European week days, the Arabic ones and the Iranian ones,
each in two modes: abbreviation and full length. And we can/may expect the
list to grow?

Can someone maybe explain?

Greetings,
Arash
