This task will no doubt require a lot of dedication.  Understanding of
HTML/text file editing would help a lot too.  Have you already made a
translation of http://www.kde.org/index.php ?  You can probably give
it a try right away.

In case you haven't seen it, you might want to check
http://i18n.kde.org/ and especially the translation howto
http://i18n.kde.org/translation-howto/ to get an idea of what you are
getting yourself into.  Unfortunately the information seems to be
sketchy.  On the plus side, I can personally help you with the
technical issues especially since the French team seem to have paved
the way with http://www.kde.org/fr/index.php .

Any of the i18n guys care to comment on how hard/easy it is to create
a new translation of www.kde.org?
