The .desktop-files in suse 7.3 did actually have all the translations, but
for some reason it does not work, they do not show up in the menus. I had a
similar problem with redhat 7.2. I solved it eventually by changing the
language to English. logout/login, and back to Danish again and logout/login,
and now I do have the menus in Danish, but that trick did not solve the
problem in suse 7.3.
It does not take much space to have all the translations in the
.desktop-files and that is indeed what everybody seem to do, but it is of
course a shame that it does not work anyway in suse 7.3. Having a mechanism
to update translations for menus other than at new releases would of course
be nice, but probably complicated given the differences between distributions.
