Hi,

My attempt to install kde3 with Qt3 was not successfull. 
I received I received the following error messages while I tried to compile 
kdelibs:
$ ./configure 
	...
	You're missing openSSL, or your version is too old (before 0.9.5a).
	KDE won't be able to access secure websites without it, so you should
	consider installing or upgrading it.
	Have a look at http://www.openssl.org, or find a binary package for
	your platform.

	You're missing libxml2 2.3.13 or later.
	KDE won't be able to provide a help ioslave (help://) without it,
	so if you want helpfiles you should consider installing it.
	Have a look at ftp://xmlsoft.org/ for sources, or find a binary
	package for your platform.
	You can find a copy of libxml2 in the kdesupport module.

	Please remove the file config.cache after installing any libraries
	so that configure will find them next time.

and I received also this error message during I was trying to run "gmake 
install" (kdesdk):
$ gmake install
	...
	ksslpkcs12.cc  -fPIC -DPIC -o .libs/ksslpkcs12.o
	ksslpkcs12.cc: In method `enum KSSLCertificate::KSSLValidation 														
	KSSLPKCS12::validate()':
	ksslpkcs12.cc:227: no matching function for call to 																									
	`KOpenSSLProxy::X509_check_private_key (X509 *, EVP_PKEY *&)'
	gmake[2]: *** [ksslpkcs12.lo] Error 1
	gmake[2]: Leaving directory `/home/kde3/kde-3-test/kdelibs/kssl'
	gmake[1]: *** [install-recursive] Error 1
	gmake[1]: Leaving directory `/home/kde3/kde-3-test/kdelibs/kssl'
	gmake: *** [install-recursive] Error 1
	

at least I tried to compile kdebase and it was broken with this error message:
$ ./configure
	...
	checking for KDE... configure: error:
	in the prefix, you've chosen, are no KDE headers installed. This will fail.
	So, check this please and use another prefix!

can anyone help?
