It's written for KDE 2.x (tested with KDE 2.1.1 and Qt 2.2.4). But 1 1/2
years ago I started the client with Qt 1.x, and then ported it to Qt 2.x
recently (which was no problem at all).
kdb2html is part of kdelibs-2.1.1, and I don't know whether it's still part
of kdelibs-2.2. I tested the configure/make process on SuSE 6.4 (a mix of KDE
2.1.0, KDE2.1.1, I'm not so sure, because I installed the rpms in a not so
elegant way partly), on Mandrake 8.0 (there I had only dependency problems
with libjpeg and libpng, which, when installing the required packages,
disappeared), and on Debian potato with KDE 2.1.1. All three configure/make
cycles worked for me. I didn't test it on KDE 2.2 installations.
On other platforms (HPUX, AIX), I had problems with the compilation of the
server (not tried the client). I'm not familiar enough with the
configure-mechanism to find a solution to that. If somebody achieves to
compile please inform me what should be changed.
cheers
Daniel
