I'm a big fan of Cantor! So I will be interested in the outcome of your
efforts.

I tried the subversion commands, which worked for me at the time, but it
seems that the move to git is finalized. I was able to get the current
working code, which seems to still be version 0.2, configure it, and compile
it. The process takes about ten minutes. Here are the following command I
used:

git clone git://anongit.kde.org/cantor master
cd master

sudo aptitude install cmake
OR
sudo apt-get install cmake( if cmake is not installed)

cmake -Wno-dev -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX="/opt"
make
sudo make intsall
/opt/bin/cantor

IT WORKS!!! wot! wot!

So, getting the entire kdeedu branch now seem, to me, unnecessary, when
working with the current branch of Cantor.

If I can be of any help, let me know here. Hope this saves you some time on
your part.

  Hello,<br>
<br>
I would like to start fixing the following bug:<br>
<br>
<a href="https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=258286" \
target="_blank">https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=258286</a><br> <br>
<br>
To do this, I need to compile Cantor first. Some questions:<br>
- where can I get the sources?<br>
- how can I compile them?<br>
- do I need to compile just Cantor, or the complete KDE-EDU<br>
   package, or the complete KDE package?<br>
<br>
I am using Ubuntu 10.10, 32 bit and KDE 4.6.2.<br>
(Cantor says version 0.2, but there is more than one version<br>
of Cantor with this version number out there.)<br>
<br>
Regards:<br>
