OK, but I don't think we can usually expect this from ordinary users. Most
of the non-anglo-saxon ones will probably say that "it does not work" and
forget about it. (Just a thought for a work around until the situation is
solved: Maybe it would be a good idea to make it clear in the GUI somewhere
that only English words are expected and that users should refer to the
documentation on how to change that.)

Unfortunately, (as a non-developer) I can only provide user feedback, not
real help with the implementation.

Well, I think the primary expectation would be that the words are indeed in
the same language as the GUI. The main impression of the present
implementation is that these are programs for children who are learning how
to spell their own language, not foreign ones, I think.

But you are right, it would be nice in the long run if it was possible to
additionally switch the language for the word list (as it would be nice to
switch the language of KDE programs individually, but this is another story
;-).

From a users perspective, it would be great to get a drop down list

* which shows the name of the language which is presently expected/installed
* allows the selection of another language

But, like I said, much as I'd like to help with the implementation: I really
can't.

Regards,

Thomas
