I encountered that error a few weeks ago, too. libqt-mt.so.3 is the multithreaded qt \
lib, which your compiled KGeo seems to be looking for. Either KGeo has to be compiled \
without multithread support (my guess), or qt has to be compiled with multithread \
support, so that a libqt-mt.so.3 will be created. If I remember correctly, I disabled \
multithreading when I compiled qt using something like configure --disable-mt (very \
vague guess ;-)).

Maybe someone else has more insight into multithreading and qt.

Since I do not use multithreading in KGeo, there is no need for it anyway.
