We have no resources to set up, say, HP/UX computers for testing.
If the HP/UX community is interested in KDE, or HP is interested in KDE,
they can do it, and we can reach un understanding where, as long as
someone who actually owns the systems is willing to test it, (and much
better if he is willing to try fixing the stuff, too ;-), we can try to
include the fixes, and/or hold releases until the fixes are in.

But in abstract, if some theoretical "KDE leadership" comes and says "it
will not go out until it works on Solaris, OpenBSD and Tru64", that simply
means "it will not go out", and that would not be useful for users of any
OS.

I gather you are a FreeBSD user? Any support there is in KDE for FreeBSD,
you probably ought to thank to Alex Zepeda and a (very small) group that
bothers checking KDE in FreeBSD.

I think I speak for most developers when I say that I will not start using
FreeBSD, a perfectly respectable unix-like OS for which I have no use,
just to make FreeBSD users happy :-)

If you, as a FreeBSD user want KDE on FreeBSD, well, there are obvious
ways to get it. You can start helping, or you can pay someone to help.

I don't think just saying "KDE should work better on FreeBSD" is going to
get much done, sorry.
