Subject: KeyMap check in KDE startup

I would like to have a key map check done on KDE startup in order to
determine whether or not the keyboard setup has a Meta key (via a call to
KAccel::setupMasks()). Anyone know where this belongs?

Also, this function should be called again whenever there's a key map change
(admittedly a rare phenomenon). Where would be the best place to put a
check for the MappingNotify event and make another call to
KAccel::setupMasks()? KGlobalAccel would be possible, but not necessarily
ideal because it receives the MappingNotify event once for every application
which has global accelerators.

Cheers,
Ellis
