Well, as far as I know, they don't have a clue themselves about how GPL 
compliant (or any other license for that matter) their program is. So, I 
would be hesitant to assume this can be included in KDE somehow. Mplayer 
works very good on my system, but I really get the impression a lot of the 
stuff is a rather big hack. Another thing is that most mplayer users don't 
care about a GUI interface for it. All they want is some OSD functionality 
that tells them if the file is playing/pauses/whatever, howfar it has 
proceeded etc. IMO this is the way to present information to the user when 
you're talking about a fullscreen app like a videoplayer.
