Maybe the missing info here is that Waldo delayed 2.2b1 by one week.

To summarize:
* today, tarballs for KOffice beta 2
* Monday (21), KOffice beta 2 release
* next Wednesday (23), tarballs for KDE 2.2b1
* and the Monday after (28), KDE 2.2b1 release

PS: it seems master.kde.org is misbehaving again, so mails might cross
each other a lot.
