This is also my opinion. CUPS is not the only system available, and other
systems will probably continue to be used for a long time. Moreover, I don't
know all fax solutions for CUPS, but the one I know (fax4CUPS) is not user-
friendly at all. You have to specify the phone number as job name, and with
the modifications I introduced, you can now specify it as a normal driver
option. But this is still not natural. Having a separate fax sending program
with nice GUI will be much more usable as well as flexible (can support various
fax systems).

Finally the way I implemented it is generic, it is not fax-oriented (see previous
mail on this list) and can serve many other purposes, like PDF writing.
