George _never_ said he wanted to use encryption for the files. He said in his 
first post that he found a way of securely _communicatin_ with an external 
program using encryption.

You said that you're afraid a misbehaving setgid program could damage 
kdegames reputation, so why include it in kdegames?

It should be a completely independend program, like a system tool. We just 
need a configure switch to enable global highscore usages and this has to 
test for the programs presence.
Additonally someone puts a note into the kdegames readme or 
whatever-info-file that exists which proudly tells the user that khighscore 
is able to utilize the famous globalscore programm o achieve system wide 
shared highscore tables :)
